“Visages Villages” is a project born during a journey through rural France, among
the villages of the Centre, the farms, the vide-greniers and the brocantes
– dusty flea markets – in a road trip,
crossing over the castles of the Loire to the serene coasts of Brittany. I
share the different faces and landscapes I have met, impressed and enclosed in
the raw texture of film, a direct relationship with Nature, a peaceful place.
“Visages Villages” is a journey back to simplicity, family stories,
nursery rhymes and wordplay, a tribute to Agnès Varda, the extraordinary and
delightful patriarch of the Nouvelle Vague.
